Chicken with blueberry sauce

We are in mid-July and some of the Finger Lakes’ best fruits and vegetables are just now coming into season. We’re putting those forward with our weekly meal: Applewood grilled chicken, grilled vegetable salad, summer quinoa and brownies.

It’s blueberry time and we just split a pint from our friends at West Wind Farms. We’re using the natural sweetness and body to make a tangy barbecue sauce.  We are again putting our new tow-behind smoker to work, burning some Applewood for the grilled chicken, which is from Fisher Hill Farm in Bristol.

Zucchini and summer squash season is also beginning a little early, and we’re grilling up some tender veggies, also from Fisher Hill Farms. We are extremely grateful and proud to announce we are selling out of these weekly meals, so it’s best to reserve yours early. Thanks again for your support!
