Peaches, pickles and picnics

On the seasonal menu: Cumin-grilled pork chops, with a corn, spring onion and tomato hash, and a Hatch chile peach gastrique, with locally grown peaches! For dessert, here’s a peaches and cream sponge cake, with peaches from West Wind Farms in Hilton.

We also have pickles with cucumbers from Kirby Farms in Brockport, both dill spears and bread and butter slices, available in half-pint, pint and quart containers. These sweet pickles might just convert dill-only diehards.

We also now have a charcuterie takeaway box! We’ll prepare a spread for an impromptu picnic. Each comes with a grumbler of Jostaberry Jam from our friends at Blue Barn Cidery in Hilton. This cider is our refreshing go-to, with gooseberry and currant.
